Dr.SRR KC Norms

  • Strict Silence should be observed in the Library.
  • Every user must swipe their ID Card in the E-Gate at Library.
  • Faculty Members can borrow 10 books, Non teaching staff members can borrow two books, UG Students are eligible to borrow 6 books and PG Students are eligible to borrow 7 books, Research Scholars are eligible to borrow 8 books.
  • Books will be issued to the users only on producing valid ID card.
  • The books should be returned within 15 days from the date of issue. For books, which are not returned on due date, a fine of Rs.1/- per day will be collected as Overdue Charges.
  • Books may be renewed for a further period of 15 days, if the concerned book is not reserved by others.
  • Books that are in special demand may be called for at any time if required.
  • A borrower taking books on loan has to check the book and inform the Librarian / Staff at the Circulation Counter, if there is any damage. A fine of Rs.30/- will be collected for any damage of the books, if notified later at the time of returning.
  • Books borrowed from the library are not transferable.
  • Library books must be returned when students go home on long vacation.
  • No user shall deface the library books by underlining or scribbling notes in the margins etc., Library Books are the Nation’s assets and belong to all. All users are required to protect library books against wanton and willful damage, mutilation, theft and other malpractices.
  • Loss of books issued, if any, should be reported to the Librarian / Staff at the Circulation Counter immediately in the prescribed form.
  • If the borrower is unable to replace the lost book by another good copy, recovery of the cost of the book lost will be made on the following bases:
    • Current price of the books if any, in triple plus overdue charges from the student, if the student has not reported about the loss of book before the due date.
    • Current price of the book in triple if the loss of books is reported before the due date.
  • Journal and back volumes will not be issued.
  • Personal books and files should be left on the rack at the entrance of the library. Plain sheets / Note pad / Scribbling pad may be taken instead.
  • Students are advised not to keep their valuable things like laptop, cell phone, calculator, wallet etc., in the property counter. Library authorities are not responsible for the loss of any such items.
  • Use of mobile phones inside the library is strictly prohibited.
  • Discussions are not allowed inside the library.
